National Mall Inauguration 2009 Aftermath

You would think that the green movement has begun but sometimes you have to wonder if cities actually put the aftermath into consideration when drawing up the plans for such an event. Where are the recycling/trash/compost bins?

I don’t know how San Francisco would fare if it were faced with an event with an approximate 1.4 million attendees. I think the Outside Lands Festival was a nice attempt, but still, there seems to be a need for more planning or just personal accountability to have a location look the same after an event as if you just arrived.
